Is the content compliant with UK regulations and standards?

Our 'Safeguarding Adults' course is meticulously designed to align with the Core Skills Training Framework in the UK, ensuring comprehensive coverage of essential safeguarding principles and practices. The course content is mapped to several key UK regulations and guidelines, including:
  • The Care Act 2014: This Act establishes a clear legal framework for how local authorities and other parts of the system should protect adults at risk of abuse or neglect. Our course covers the key principles of this Act, focusing on the duty of care to safeguard adults.
  • The Safeguarding Vulnerable Groups Act 2006: This legislation is crucial for ensuring that individuals who are deemed unsuitable to work with vulnerable adults are barred from doing so. Our course includes detailed discussions on the implications of this Act for professionals in health and social care settings.
  • Mental Capacity Act 2005: This Act provides a framework to empower and protect people who may lack capacity to make certain decisions due to disability or illness. Our training includes guidance on how to assess capacity and make decisions in someone's best interest, which is a core aspect of adult safeguarding.
  • Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS): These safeguards are an amendment to the Mental Capacity Act and provide additional protection for those who lack capacity and are in care homes or hospitals. Our course covers how to apply these safeguards in practice.
  • Human Rights Act 1998: Understanding the rights of adults, especially in the context of safeguarding, is crucial. Our course integrates the principles of the Human Rights Act, ensuring that all practices are compliant with these fundamental rights.
  • Local Safeguarding Adults Boards (LSAB) guidelines: We incorporate the latest guidelines and best practices as recommended by LSABs, ensuring that the course content is relevant and up-to-date.
